Jewelry is hand-crafted by artist and designer Jackie Richardson. She’s been making, living and teaching art in Ithaca, NY for over 10 years. She studied ceramics at SUNY Fredonia, School for American Crafts at RIT and received her MS in Art and Design Education from Pratt Institute. Her love and appreciation for the natural world can be seen in her choice of organic shapes and forms. Jackie’s work also speaks to her ancestral heritage, as it is a blend of ethnic patterns and textures that emerge on the surface of her work. She loves the way earth, fire, air and water come together when working with metals, clay and metal clay. Her work is a harmonious balance of various combinations of bronze, brass, copper and fine silver as well as imprinted metal clay.
